The new company building is growing fast. On July 14, 2010 Mrs. and Mr. Bayer welcomed craftsmen, suppliers, customers, friends and the BRT staff on the construction site for the topping out ceremony. It was an exciting moment for the guests to enter the new building for the first time. The architect team, Anuschka Bayer and Anke Berresheim, from Bayer Berresheim Architekten joined the party. With this house, the young team realises a building concept which combines function and aesthetics successfully, close to the Bauhaus style.

PERF-O-MAT Perforators make handling and storing of PET bottles and other plastic containers much easier. PERF-O-MAT perforates the containers and flattens them. Air and liquids can escape while the receptacles remain intact for further processing. And it stops rolling. This effect is helpful not only on inclined belts. It is deciding for the efficiency of optical detection systems to have the material not changing its position on the belt. Otherwise, the detection rate will decrease significantly

In January 2010, prices on the recovered paper market began to increase. As with any price change, it is all a matter of supply and demand. The reduced quantity of waste paper generated domestically – combined with empty stockpiles at paper mills – stand in contrast to a growing global market demand.
It has once again become profitable to sort. There has been a resurgence of deferred machine projects and upgrades to existing facilities.

BRT Recycling Technologie GmbH offers ballistic separators under the name SORT-O-MAT. The SORT-O-MAT features screens which rotate in eccentric motion. Lightweight materials having large surface areas are thrown over the screen and are mechanically cleaned. Dense and bulky materials fall to the bottom. The SORT-O-MAT yields a third fraction, the so-called screen fraction, whose proportion will depend on the particular mesh size of the screen. The SORT-O-MAT has a simple and rugged design.

"Where does our rubbish go?" is the question Tom must have asked himself. Because, instead of staying at home in the quiet, safe atmosphere of his terrarium, the 55-year-old tortoise from Cardiff, Wales took a trip through the SCHLITZ-O-MAT – and came back out without a scratch.
The owner Ruth Jones, a very well-known actress in England, was visibly relieved. |

Since many years, recycling and waste recovery have been a big theme in the EU countries. With Poland's entry into the European Union in 2004, the establishing of a modern and efficient waste recycling system became one of the main gouvernment topics. The Polish gouvernment as well as the local industry find valuable support in the know-how of firms like BRT. In addition, this year POLEKO fair in Poznan will catch up the current trend. This year, the biggest environmental exhibition in Poland will focus on waste management.

Modern plants provide constantly growing throughput rates. No matter if sorting or combustion of material – vast amounts of materal are processed day and night. Trucks discharge tonnes of household waste into the hoppers.
Metres high grips fill buffer areas with RDF material. Hour after hour, conveyor belts transport organic waste to devices for intermediate storing.

When the ripping teeth of the Bag Opener drum become blunt from permanent material contact, the bag opening rate and material throughput rate decreases. Then it necessary to reweld the ripping teeth of the drum. Usually, rewelding needs a lot of time. Fire hazard makes long preparations necessary. Particularly, all material has to be removed from the work area. This is history. As of now, your SCHLITZ-O-MAT Bag Opener will be fully operational again in a jiffy. |

| To adapt Lenin freely, what happens when the old rulers „can not continue in the old ways“, and the basis „does not want the old ways any more“? The subject of recycling comes to experience nothing less than a revolution. Currently, a rapid change of awareness in public, gouvernment, enterprises and in the opinion of investors is taking place. Russia has recognised that the recycling branch not only has to remedy the country’s growing waste problem. Particularly, it is seen that this branch is a burgeoning economic sector with high creation of value. |

Presently, used small electrical and electronical household appliances are prepared for recycling mostly by hand. The plastic housings of toasters, vacuum cleaners, games consoles, toys or tools have to be opened manually for getting to the metal parts inside. This work is laborious and hazardous, be-cause the housings may splinter during break-up. The CRACK-O-MAT Dismantler for Electric Appliances from BRT helps you to minimise risks for your personnel and to cut operating costs significantly. |

| Frequently, different recycling materials and RDF are pressed to bales. The high material compaction and good stacking properties make storing and transport safe, simple and cheaper.
For processing, the dense bales have to be unraveled and the material must be dispersed in the best possible way. Very often, shredders or screw systems are used for this purpose. However, these meth-ods of unravelling bales are elaborate and expensive.

Modern sorting plants become more and more efficient. Almost automatically, huge amounts of material are being separated. Today, a net value added is reached which seemed to be unattainable only few years ago. The feed and metering hopper is one core component of such power plants. Here, the input material is charged for metered transport to the sorting processes. BRT manufactures DOS-O-MAT Feed and Metering Hoppers customised to the individual operating demands. |

Many scrap tyre recyclers have problems with their shredding or granulating plant because of disruptive parts in the delivered tyres. Carelessly thrown away parts like bolts, screws, or brake wheels remain inside the scrap tyres and cause costly and time-consuming damage to the recycling machines.
For obviating such problems, it has been necessary to check each scrap tyre per hand be-fore processing in the shredding or granulating plant. An exhausting and irksome work. |

A town in Northern Germany. The HPS run by the local public utility company produces long-distance heating and power. Coal was used for production until 2005. At that time, dumping of household-, industry and commercial waste became illegal also for that region. Since then, the calorific valuable waste components are being processed as RDF. By replacing coal by RDF, the HPS has been saving 80.000 tonnes coal every year. The local public utility was awarded "Umweltfreundlicher Betrieb" - environment-friendly company in 2007. |

Biowaste- heavy and humid: that is the inpout amterial for one of the largest biowaste treatment plants in Germany. The rebuilding of the collection hall was completed six months ago. Initially, an annual production of 100,000 tonnes is planned. In 2009, the plant's performance will be increased to 120,000 tonnes per year. Biowaste has specific properties and has to be loosened up and metered for further treatment. The downstream units must be fed with a continuous material stream. |

| On July 18, Europe’s most modern sorting and recovery plant was started up by the German ALBA group. Here, a completely new plant concept was realised.
The material preparation at the front end of the plant is made by BRT Bag Openers. The plant operator views himself no longer as classical recycler. He defines himself as producer of raw materials. Thus, his work is no longer a mere matter of material recycling.

When PET bottles or other plastic containers are pressed, it is important to produce bales as stackable and heavy as possible.Such bale qualities can only be achieved when the material is perforated so that the air can escape during the pressing process.
A plausible and very important fact. BRT Recycling Technologie GmbH is one of the most important manufacturers of perforators.

Your sortig plant for commercial waste and construction wasteis state-of-the-art. You planned, you invested in a powerful shredder and many screens, sifters, interceptors, and installed long conveyor belts.
Do the investments in planning and equipment pay? Are all components working as expected?
Or do the sorting results of the plant regarding quality and amount still fall short of your expectations?

The name Moving Floor Conveyor does not surmise the all-round system contained in this BRT product.
Before, this system was only used in trucks. BRT was the first machine supplier who recognized the manifold fields of application of this idea, examined it closely and developed this idea systematically to one of the most universal transport medium. The Moving Floor Conveyors consist of a number of push-boards. |
